The women's national volleyball team is making changes due to injuries.

The Korea Volleyball Association (KVA) announced on Saturday the changes to the national team. The women's team convened at the Jincheon Athletes' Village on Friday to begin preparations for the 2024 Volleyball Nations League.

Kim Da-eun (Heungkuk Life), Kim Yeon-yeon (Hyundai E&C), Moon Jung-won (Korea Expressway Corporation) and Lee So-young (IBK) will be leaving the squad. Kim Dae-eun has a partially torn rotator cuff in her right shoulder, Kim Yeon-yeon has impingement syndrome in her left ankle, Moon Jeong-won has a right knee injury, and Lee So-young has a left ankle extension.

The players met with head coach Fernando Morales, the medical team, and the Athletes' Village Medical Center. In a one-on-one meeting with the players, Morales wished them a speedy recovery and encouraged them to join the national team in the future.

In their place, Moon Jiyoon (GS Caltex), Kim Chae-won (IBK), Handa Hye (Pepper Savings Bank), and Park Soo-yeon (Heungkuk Life) will join the national team. The four will soon enter Jincheon to begin their training camp.

Of the 16 players called up, Lee Sun-woo and Jeong Ho-young, who play for Jeong Kwan-jang, are temporarily out of the national team at the request of their clubs. They will rejoin the team on the afternoon of the 22nd after participating in Chung's invitational event in Indonesia.
