Accounts are designed to provide your application with an identity.
If you are producing a script or an app interacting with your own Rebrandly account, you can skip this section. Instead, if you are planning to connect this application with multiple Rebrandly accounts, it might be convenient that you start your API experience with a request to gather account details so that you can:
- make sure you are indeed interacting with the intended account (by its id, or by its username, name, avatar, etc)
- make sure the features you are going to use in the app are indeed available for use in this account
- make sure the Rebrandly account is still existing (not been suspended or discontinued)
You can get account details at any time.
